Windsor Cradle
I designed this cradle to go with the Windsor chairs I build. This one is made of Koa with ebony spindles. Koa is now very rare and expensive, but this rocker would be lovely in mahogany or walnut. Plans and instructions are available from American Furniture Design, (see links page). 21”x38”x21”

Whimsical Bed
The clients here wanted a new bedroom set that was fun, fresh, but with good craftsmanship. The bed was the first piece that I designed. I used figured cherry in all of the pieces.

Whimsical Night Stand

Church Pulpit
This Pulpit is built up out of layers of solid white oat and a two-inch dowel is used for the banner rod. I built all of the furnishing in this church except for the pews.

Wine Cellar
This was an early California home with a cement basement space that the owner wanted to convert to a home office along with a wine cellar. The triple doors were a reflection of the triple veggia design on the upstairs deck. The molding shapes were all copied from the other parts of the house.
Wine Cellar Detail
There were large cement posts and beams supporting the house along with old vent ducts going everywhere. The owner had all of the vents put at the top of the walls and I enclosed them in the soffet. The post and beams were then enclosed in wood.
Honduras Mahogany, stained rich burgundy.
Home Office
This is the adjoining office space with the wine celler. Note the coffered ceiling and the dentil moldings on the ceiling beams.
Music Room
This room was home to a large Steinway piano and needed moldings and cabinets to look like they had always been there.
Paint grade poplar.
Carved Headboard
This carved headboard was carved and painted to accompany the painted entertainment center. Painted poplar.

Children’s Bunk Beds
This pair of beds can be used as bunk beds or separately. The lower bed has large drawers underneath for bedding storage.
There are carved animals on the foot and headboards. Honduras mahogany and ebony.

Faux Wall Bookcase
The client had an opening in a wall already covered with faux book cases. He wanted a fun design to go along with a mantle in the same room. This is the finished wall
Craftsman Style Round Table
The owners here wanted a round table in the craftsman style. Normally craftsman pieces are made from oak and fumed to a dark brown color, but here they wanted it to match their kitchen and hardwood floors, which were a rich red brown. This was made in Sapale mahogany.

Home Sports Bar
The owner here wanted to have a classic wooded bar as part of a sports bar in his garage. The bar is all mahogany stained a rich reddish brown; it has a granite top, cabinets below and wine racks on the back wall.

Law Library
This client wanted cabinets and book shelves for a law library. All of the shelves are 1 1/2” thick for strength. The corner cabinets are half round inside with lights and glass shelves. Honduras mahogany.
Sacrament Table
This is a sacrament table that was to match the style of some other work in the church. The side surfaces were hand carved for texture.
Bookcases For Mediterranean Condo
These cabinets were designed to reflect on the interior details and arches in a Mediterranean condo. The right cabinet has curved shelves that follow the contour of the wall. The color matches other cabinets in the condo. 24”x128”x92” Mahogany
Gumwood Doors and Bookcases
The client needed a pair of doors here and bookcases with pillars that matched the moldings and details original to the house. Also the stain glass windows were obtained and are an exact copy of another pair on the opposing end of the hallway. Some of this work in this picture is 80 years old. The rest of it is new.
Secretary Desk
The front on this cabinet folds down to form a writing surface. (See Links for American Furniture Design). 18”x30”x46” Rock maple with curly Maple front.
Spanish Cedar Kitchen
The clients in this house had an open 60's house with original mahogany
paneling.
They wanted a complimentary wood for their kitchen. We chose a
sequential cut spanish
cedar, slip matched for dramatic effect.
Craftsman Bar
This bar/Hutch cabinetry was build in a remodeled home. The style is like craftsman, but with some modern updates. The center part is a pass through to the kitchen. Walnut stained mahogany. 140”x96”x25’
Craftsman Railings
The owner wanted craftsman’s style railings to go with the house, but also wanted the design to be more contemporary. Tropical American Mahogany and poplar.
Backlit Bookcases
The Client wanted a wall of bookcases built in, but didn’t want to change out the five existing windows. The two end units recess into the window frames and allow the light to come through. This makes for a unique display area for artwork or plants. African Mahogany 144”x94”xl4”
Tansu Cabinet
Here the clients wanted a stepped Tansu style cabinet, but wanted it to be somewhat more interpretive. . For the doors I used one continuous piece of ash veneer and framed the boxes in Santos mahogany. The pulls are actually a craftsman style. 84”x20”x52”
Custom Doors
These two sets of custom doors were made for a Spanish Revival home. The arched ones needed to fit an existing opening and the bifolds were to hide the laundry machines. African mahogany.
Moroccan Style Desk
This client had already furnished her home with several “Moroccan” styled pieces and thought that a custom desk in the same style would fit right in. This low desk is in an “L”layout and holds computers, printers and a piano keyboard. The desk is African mahogany and carved in “chip carving” designs. 72”x72”x25”
Craftsman Kitchen
These cabinets and island are part of a craftsman kitchen. The large hutch in the back is also a California Cooler in that it is vented from the basement, through the shelves and out the top. These two pieces were done natural to look like old furniture, but the rest of the kitchen was painted a light sea green color. The open grill designs continue throughout the entire kitchen. Verticle grain fir.
Calliope Desk
A client wanted a desk/bookcase for a young grandson that could be add ons and faux painting that went with a circus theme, but the details could be easily changed as the child grew older.

Natural Edge Table/Bench
This table and bench were made from an oak tree killed in the Cedar Fire 2003. I left a small burned part on one of the legs to show the fire damage. This is from the native Southern
California tree, probably an Engelmann Oak. It is full of wild figure, beeswing, curl and spalting.

Spanish Office/Library
This was a Spanish style office and library space that was built for a client. The door detail is from an old Mexican historic home. There is an adjoining desk and file cabinet space. The wood is all African mahogany and Lorenzo Foncerrada made the carvings.
